Peru Thank You Letter
Meadville, PA | April, 2025

Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for giving to support this trip to Peru financially, through prayers, or both!

    Here is the general timeline of our trip:
  • May 11- Meet in Pittsburgh in the afternoon
  • May 12- Fly to Lima, Peru
  • May 13- Explore Lima
  • May 14- Bus to Huancayo
  • May 15-21- Volunteer in Huancayo
  • May 22-23- Cusco and possible service learning day
  • May 24-28- Trek and Machu Picchu
  • May 29-30- Cusco
  • May 31- Travel home & arrive in Pittsburgh early evening

    There are 14 of us going. There are two trip leaders that work for the CCO (Coalition of Christian Outreach). Beyond them there are 12 students going. Four of the students, me included, go to Allegheny. We have been getting lunch on Tuesdays throughout the semester. This picture is from Jubilee, a big CCO conference, where everyone going to Peru was able to meet, except for a few students who werenโ€™t able to make it to the conference.

      Here are some prayer requests and praises:
  • This trip was fully funded as of a few weeks ago! It has been scary to rely on the Lord in this way, and to ask others for money, but it is encouraging to see how the Lord provides.
  • I graduate May 10th, and we leave on the 11th. I am nervous about this fast transition. I will be sad to say goodbye to the people at Allegheny. So, you can be praying for closure and that I am able to say goodbye well.
  • Prayers for safe travels, good team dynamics, and that we would be able to help the community we are entering. So often, I hear the negatives of short term missions and so please pray that we would be able to be a blessing to those we are around and that God would be moving and softening peopleโ€™s hearts.
  • Please pray that I would be able to see how God has blessed Peruvians in their lives

    • Thank you again! I hope this trip and the stories I will have to tell afterwards will be an encouragement to you as well!
