About Me
My name is Rebekah Rudd. I am a Allegheny College Summer 2025 Graduate. Allegheny College is in Meadville, PA. I graduated from Allegheny College with a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science and Minors in Mandarin Chinese and Arabic. I attended Hanover High School in Hanover and graduated in 2021. In addition to my education I had held various jobs in the community; and experienced different jobs and environments.
Being a cadet in the Army ROTC program through Allegheny College and PennWest Edinboro University has provided me with experience leading others and has prepared me to lead even when I do not feel confident. For example, as a Junior we are expected to help teach the underclassmen skills such as land navigation or individual movement techniques. I also have experience working with others and teaching others through my job as a camp counselor at Ligonier Camp and Conference Center and through tutoring at Kumon. I am a skilled and flexible worker who will work hard no matter the environment I am in.
In addition, I enjoy learning new skills. My education from Hanover High School and Allegheny College has not only taught me how to work hard in school and see projects through to their finish, but I have learned how to communicate effectively with others around me. These skills will translate to my work where ever I am.
Current Projects
While studying at Allegheny College all seniors are required to work on a senior project. For my senior comprehensive project I built a website that allows people to add greater depth and layers to flashcard learning.
Multilayered Flashcards, as the name suggests is a flashcards learning application. Multilayered Flashcards is set apart because rather than having just one item on the front and one item on the back, Multilayered Flashcards allows the user to have more than two items of study and allows the user to choose which pieces of information they would like of the front and back of their flashcard. At the beginning of each study session they can select the options that they want on the front and on the back by using the Options Menu. There are multiple different data sets available for use. These study sets include Mandarin, Greek Alphabet, Hebrew Alphabet, Arabic Alphabet, Periodic Table, Animal Information, American Presidents, and Roman Emperor study sets. And there are more study sets to come.
